Editorial policy

SmartFintool publishes calculators and educational finance content for Indian users. The goal is usefulness, transparency and mathematical accuracy — not search-volume pages or generic AI filler.

Editorial standards

  • Use clear explanations, real examples and formulas that match the implementation.
  • Label expected returns, inflation, withdrawal rates and future tax assumptions as assumptions.
  • Avoid “guaranteed”, “best”, “risk-free” or similar wording unless a specific regulated product and source supports it.
  • Prefer official sources for tax slabs, government schemes, small-savings rates and regulatory rules.
  • Correct errors promptly when reported and keep methodology review dates meaningful.

Advice policy

Articles and calculators are educational. They do not tell users which mutual fund, stock, insurance policy, loan or tax position to choose. Personal circumstances matter; users should seek personalised advice from a SEBI-registered investment adviser, chartered accountant or other qualified professional.

Monetisation and conflicts

SmartFintool does not currently sell investment products. If affiliate links, sponsorships or partnerships are added in future, they will be disclosed clearly. A commercial relationship must never influence a formula, source citation or factual claim.

Updates and corrections

A review date is updated only when the relevant page is meaningfully reviewed or changed. Report corrections to help@smartfintool.com.
